Dr Nadine Brew (left) is the Business Development Manager at the Hudson Institute of Medical Research, where she oversees medical research commercialisation, IP management and industry collaborations and engagement. Nadine has identified numerous commercial research opportunities and contributed to the formation of startup companies and high value licensing and partnership transactions. Previously, she was a member of the Life Sciences commercialisation team at Monash Innovation. Nadine is a Churchill Fellow and has over 10 years biomedical research experience. She has a PhD in developmental physiology from Monash University and undertook postdoctoral training in Washington DC. She is currently an observer on the board of Diabetes Victoria.
Dr Lauren Giorgio (centre) is a PhD-qualified medical research scientist passionate about building a culture of innovation in Australia. She runs Business Development at the Centre for Eye Research Australia, a role she holds concurrently with a position at Melbourne-based biotech company OccuRx. She is also chair of the Australian Science and Innovation Forum. Previously, she has held business development positions at the Walter and Eliza Hall Institute, Catalyst Therapeutics and Flinders Partners, and has completed an internship with Brandon Capital Partners under the Medical Research Commercialisation Fund program. Lauren has a first-class Honours degree in Health Science, a PhD in cancer biology from the University of Adelaide and is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors
Dr Udani Reets (right) is PhD-qualified health and medical research professional driven by ambition to make a contribution to improving health and wellbeing globally. In her current role at Monash University, she supports high-value partnership and engagement opportunities with government, industry and philanthropic partners. Udani has a PhD in Developmental Neuroscience from Monash University and completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the Florey Institute of Neuroscience and Mental Health. She has over 10 years of health, medical and research expertise in academic, research and not-for-profit environments.
