The WILD program is targeted towards female professionals in the Victorian STEM sector. 

The Program comprises three distinct components that will better position women to attain competitive, senior STEM positions and forge successful careers, in turn inspiring the next generation of female leaders.

PART 1: Australian Institute of Company Directors course

To help get more women on STEM boards (both for-profit and not-for-profit), successful applicants will first undertake the prestigious Company Directors Course run by the Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD).

This course teaches practical tools and frameworks ready for immediate use, both in the boardroom and in senior management positions. 

PART 2: Leadership skills short-course

Negotiation, emotional intelligence, confidence, assertiveness and leadership are skills often not taught in the classroom.

In the second module of the WILD Program, these skills will be taught and practiced in a professionally facilitated, customised two-day workshop retreat.

This retreat will also provide a unique opportunity for our women to create life-lasting networks and friendships.

PART 3: Mentorship and real-world experience

The third module of the WILD Program involves partnering each participant with a male or female mentor in the STEM sector. Participants will shadow their mentors for a minimum of one day, with the opportunity to ask as many questions as needed and see first hand how key learnings from the program are practiced in the real world. 

There is no cost for successful applicants to complete the WILD program.
