Our Impact

Advancing Women in STEM Leadership

At WILD for STEM, we believe that inclusive leadership drives innovation, resilience, and sustainability in Australia’s STEM sector.

Our 2025 Impact Report tracks the outcomes of our participants across four cohorts—from 2019 to 2024—and the results are something we’re proud to share.

From Impact to Insight

This report reflects our commitment to understanding the long-term impact of the WILD Program in shaping the careers of women and non-binary professionals in STEM. It captures measurable progress, leadership outcomes, and the stories of women who continue to break ground in their fields.

With data drawn from 96 STEM leaders across the country, the report shows a strong correlation between program participation and professional growth—including new roles, board appointments, and growing confidence in leadership settings.

Shaping STEM Futures

Behind every number in this report is a female or non-binary STEM leader rising.

This report affirms that when women are supported with the right networks, skills and leadership opportunities, they thrive, and so does the sector. As Australia prepares for its STEM-driven future, WILD for STEM remains focused on solutions that ensure women and non -binary professionals are not just present, but leading.

Together, we can make WILD change for women and non-binary leaders in STEM.

This work would not be possible without the support of our principal partners, the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet (Office for Women) and Brandon BioCatalyst; and the many sponsors, employers and advocates who believe in what’s possible when we lead together.
